Gold Coast trio, Skinwalkers are releasing their second single of 2012, ‘Everyone Has A Story’, the follow-up to ‘I Don’t Believe It’.
Produced by the renowned Kalju Tonuma (The Temper Trap, Cold Chisel, Crowded House), and mastered by John Ruberto (Grinspoon, Kate Ceberano) at Crystal Mastering Studios, Melbourne, the song evolved after the band spent time with Paul Moulds from the Oasis Youth Network in Sydney and filmed a documentary on Youth Homelessness in Australia.
‘Everyone Has A Story’ was originally written and recorded in 2010, along with four other songs. Unfortunately, the recording session was lost.
Skinwalkers – comprising Lach Jeeno (lead vocals, guitar), Lenn Delandre (vocals, bass) and Matt Turner (drums) formed in 2008 with the intention of creating politically and emotionally charged rock ‘n’ roll with a message.
Influenced by artists like The Clash, The Who and Midnight Oil, Skinwalker is a band with a social conscience. “Live for something than die for nothing”, the band states.
Skinwalkers will play 14 September, Tweed Heads, Dolphins Hotel to kick off the release.
‘Everyone Has A Story’ will be available for digital download 7 September. There will be a limited print of the single available directly from the band at shows and online.
