Sydney based indie record label and social media platform Social Family Records has partnered with crowdfunding and ticketing platform GiggedIn.
Social Family Records has launched recent albums for Jimmy Barnes, David Campbell and Baby Animals and recently signed Christine Anu, Amber Lawrence and Jason Owen.
GiggedIn is Australia’s only crowdfunding platform devoted exclusively to live music in Australia. The company is currently behind the support slot platform for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (US) + Hawthorne Heights (US) as well as Aversions Crown (AU) + Molotov Solution (US).
The company has also announced the appointment of former Warner Music and BMG Managing Director Ed St. John as an advisor to the company.
“Social Family Group is a likeminded company – passionate about music, creating opportunities for the industry and doing things differently. We are thrilled they have decided to join our family and look forward to the next phase with them,” said GiggedIn founder and CEO Edwin Onggo.
Social Family Group CEO Jake Challenor added, “We are proud to partner with GiggedIn and believe they are the solution and a new much needed tool for the industry. We already have ideas for some exciting synergies and can’t wait to share detail soon”.
Social Family Group includes independent label Social Family Records, social media marketing agency Jaden Social, artist and tour management company George Said MGMT and the SFR Store, a direct-to-fan consultancy and ARIA accredited platform.
