Western Australian singer songwriter Helen Shanahan is an interesting artist to watch.
Helen won the Songwriter of the Year for the Telstra Road To Discovery in 2014 and has also picked up the Song of the Year for the folk category in the 2012 International Songwriting Contest. She has also had nominations for the WA Music Song of the Year for her track ‘Driftwood’.
Helen caught the attention of Mushroom Publishing who signed her to a publishing deal and now she is releasing her new song ‘Across The Sea’.
Helen Shanahan will have a run of dates in July. “Although I still feel a lot of nerves and anxiety about performing and sharing my music, the love of it keeps me going, and I love the feeling of connecting with the audience and sharing my stories,” she said.
