Sony Music Entertainment Australia have today announced that they have signed the gifted Dewayne Everettsmith, with his album ‘Surrender’ to be released in March 2014.
Beginning his career from childhood, Everettsmith played shows in his own Tasmanian Aboriginal community and festival stages throughout Australia and the Pacific.
Manager’s Mark Grose and Michael Hohnen of Skinnyfish Music took notice of Everettsmith and his amazing gift for music, and quickly added him to their extensive list of indigenous artists that includes ARIA winner Gurrumul.
His single ‘It’s Like Love’ was featured on an international Tourism Tasmania campaign and will all be included on his debut album ‘Surrender’.
