The Kite String Tangle, The Teskey Brothers, Alex The Astronaut and City Calm Down are some of the Australia acts set to showcase for Sounds Australia in the UK and Spain in coming weeks.
Sounds Australia will represent Australia at The Great Escape in the UK from 17-19 May and Primevera PRO in Spain 30 May- 3 June.
“We’re constantly evaluating international markets and assessing the best opportunities for Australian artists and music industry,” says Millie Millgate, SOUNDS AUSTRALIA Executive Producer.
“Our activity over the next month includes events like MIDEM and The Great Escape where we’ve been a fixture for many years, along with conferences like Classical:NEXT and Primavera PRO where we’re establishing a foothold. Wherever we go, we’re ensuring that Australian music is top of mind, and represented in the best possible way.”

Following Primevera, Sounds Australia will then head to MIDEM in Cannes, France. For the first time, an Australian artist has been selected for the prestigious MIDEM Artist Accelerator, with Melbourne duo Client Liaison participating in the tailored program which includes networking, learning and coaching sessions as well as the opportunity to play to international music industry.
