Spirit of Akasha, the new surf movie capturing the spirit of ‘Morning Of The Earth’ will be screened around Australia on January 30 and 31.
Spirit of Akasha is from director Andrew Kidman and mentored by Morning of the Earth creator Albe Falzon.
The movie features surfers world champion surfers Mick Fanning, Stephanie Gilmore, Tom Curren, Kelly Slater and Beau Young and the nextgen featuring Heath Joske, Harrison Roach, Ellis Ericson and Ace Buchan and Jon Jon Florence, alongside ‘soul surfers’ Fergal Smith and Joel & Kye Fitzgerald.
Like Morning of the Earth 42 years ago, Spirit of Akasha has a made for the movie soundtrack featuring each song in full with the surfing imagery as a backdrop to the sound.

As well as the release of Spirit of Akasha, the original movie soundtrack of Morning of the Earth has been remastered and a new version with current artists performing the original songs has been re-recorded.
