Splendour In The Grass Is Already A Sell-Out

by Noise11.com on April 6, 2017

in News

Splendour In The Grass became an instant sell-out after tickets went on sale this morning.

Tickets attracted what the producers called “a Hunger Games like frenzy” when they became available at 9am.

Splendour’s Co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco said “Once again we have been overwhelmed by your love and enthusiasm for Splendour. We can’t wait to bring you another awesome show. Our thoughts are with all those in our local Northern NSW community that have been devastated by floods over the past week. We will be announcing a fundraising initiative soon to assist with the recovery. In the meantime, we’re sending you all our love.”

Now comes the warning:

DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS FROM ONLINE AUCTION & SELLING SITES OR SOCIAL MEDIA. Splendour tickets include the name and date of birth of the purchaser. This is checked against your ID at the festival gates. There is NO facility in place that allows a ticket holder to change the name and date of birth on a ticket and transfer it to another person.

Splendour In The Grass will take place from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 July at North Byron Parklands.

The First Hour of The First Day On 2JJ (Double J) Sydney 19 January 2025

Double J was a Sydney only radio station when it first went to air at 11am on 19 January 1975. The first song played was Skyhooks ‘You Just Like Me ‘Cos I’m Good In Bed’ chosen because it was Australian, it was rebellious (because the song was banned at the time which reflected the rebellious image of the station) and being part of the ABC was not subject to the licencing laws of the commercial radio stations.
