The iconic House of Blues on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip has closed following the final performance by Steel Panther on Monday night.
Steel Panther had performed more than any other act at the House of Blues LA., over 100 times. For their final show, Billy Ray Cyrus was set to join them for a song, as he had before.
The House of Blues at 8430 Sunset Blvd West Hollywood may have closed owners Live Nation say it will reopen else in a new location in Los Angeles or possibly Hollywood in around 18 months.
Prince, John Fogerty, Britney Spears and even Russell Crowe are some of the big names who have performed in the venue.
House of Blues LA opened 21 years ago and employed 197 people. Most of the staff have been laid off of transferred to the other House of Blues California venues in Anaheim and San Diego.
The building is due to be torn down and replaced with a 149 room hotel, apartments and retail space.
