Australian rock legend Stephen Cummings will be performing songs from 20th solo album ‘Prisoner of Love’ and selections from his 4-disc career spanning Anthology at Memo Music Hall St Kilda on Friday.

For Stephen, this is the hometown gig. ‘Prisoner of Love’ comes 34 years after his first solo album ‘Senso’. All 20 records are compiled into the recent ‘A Life is a Life – Anthology’ box.

The Stephen Cummings music story dates back to 1974 and The Pelaco Brothers, a band he started pre-Sports with pre-Jo Jo Zep and Black Sorrows founder Joe Camilleri.

Stephen then went into rock phase in The Sports which coincided with punk and new wave. They released four albums between 1978 and 1981.

Stephen’s band will include Sam Lemann, Clare Moore & Bill McDonald. Clare will also open before Stephen with Dave Graney & The Mistly.
