72-year old physicist Stephen Hawking will feature on the upcoming Pink Floyd album ‘The Endless Road’.

Hawking is sampled on the track ‘Talkin’ Hawkin’’. The song features a sample from a 1994 British Telecom commercial featuring Hawking. A different part of Hawking’s speech was used by Floyd on ‘Keep Talking’ from the 1994 album ‘The Division Bell’ but they insist the new song is not a continuation.

Hawking is a Pink Floyd band has did see the band live when there were active pre-1994.

The 12 tracks on ‘The Endless Road’ were recorded during ‘The Division Bell’ sessions, many of which were written or co-written by the late Richard Wright, Pink Floyd keyboard player, who died in 2006.

Pink Floyd ‘The Endless Road’ will be released by Sony Music on November 7, 2014.
