Stereophonics co-founder Richard Jones tells Noise11.com that as soon as the album is released in next month, “We are doing the UK and Europe in March and April and hopefully we will get to Australia and Asia in late April, early May. So you should see us in Australia soon”.

‘Graffiti on the Train’ is the eighth studio album for Stereophonics who formed in Wales 21 years ago in 1992. The 20th anniversary was marked with “a quiet nod”. “I think we had a quiet nod while we were in the studio,” Richard said. “We were recording some tracks and Kelly and I had a little, quiet nod. I think we are going to celebrate more the first album 20th Anniversary which will be in able three or four years time”.

Now in their late 30s Richard and co-founder Kelly Jones (no relation) are a couple of family guys. “That is kind of the relationship me and Kelly have because we have known each other all our life,” he says.

In the five years since ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ (2009), Stereophonics toured the world and then at the end of 2010 started work building their own studio in Wales where the new album was recorded.

‘Graffiti on the Train’ will be released in March through Warner Music on Stereophonics own Stylus Records.
