The Stereosonic music festival has had two more last minute cancellations with Alesso and Labrinth cancelling one day before the start of the tour.
Earlier this week, Skrillex announced he was not coming to Australia to be part of the festival as advertised and now another two international acts failed to make the flights to Australia due to illness.
Labrinth will not appear at any of the Stereosonic shows. Stereosonic organisers say that Labrinth “has been stuck down with a serious virus which will prevent him from taking part in Stereosonic 2013”.
Alesso expects to be well enough to travel to Australia to perform at the shows next weekend.
In a statement Alesso said, “I’m so sorry not to make it for the this weekend, I have been looking forward to this so much, but I really cannot travel this weekend. I am aiming to be there for weekend 2 of Stereosonic. I would never cancel a tour but I really just am unable to travel and am very sorry for missing these incredible dates and will make it up to the cities I missed I promise.”
Stereosonic features David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Armin Van Buuren.
The event is on in Sydney and Perth this weekend, Adelaide next Friday and Saturday and Melbourne and Brisbane next Saturday and Sunday.
