in News

A song by San Diego based singer songwriter Steve Poltz was featured in season premiere of Nashville.

Steve Poltz wrote ‘Song For Hawk’ for the 2013 movie ‘Running Wild, The Life of Dayton O Hyde’.

Poltz wasn’t able to watch the show live because he was on stage in Ames, Iowa when it aired.

‘Running Wild, The Life of Dayton O Hyde’ is the story of Dayton O Hyde, one of America’s last old-style cowboys.

Rotten Tomatoes explains the movie ‘Running Wild: The Life Of Dayton O Hyde’ “For the last 25 years, Dayton has managed the breathtaking 12,000-acre Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in South Dakota, where more than 500 mustangs now run free – all rescued from the controversial wild horse roundups. The film chronicles Dayton’s dramatic journey of challenges and successes that began in Michigan and took him across the West.”

Steve Poltz Song For Hawk starts at 2:33

‘Nashville’ airs Wednesday nights on ABC in the USA.
