Sting is back touring live and the surprise is that not one of his old songs by The Police is in the set.
Sting is playing a series of ten shows highlighting the music from his upcoming Broadway show The Last Ship at the Public Theater’s 260-seat Anspacher Theatre in New York.
The first of those shows was Wednesday night with the set list comprised of the music from the show along with three other songs from the Sting catalog. Ghost Story from Brand New Day and When We Dance from Fields of Gold: The Best of Sting 1984-1994 were used during the performance of the music from the show, indicating that they are part of the score. All This Time from The Soul Cages was played as an encore.
