Sting will sing in what is being called “a special performance” at the Grammys this year with nominees Rihanna and Bruno Mars.

The purpose for the special performance has not been announced but it is just one in what is looking to be a fairly spectacular night of music. Also announced as performers are Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, the Black Keys, fun., the Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Jack White, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake and a collaboration between Elton John and Ed Sheeran.
Presenters include Prince, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Carly Rae Jepsen, Katy Perry, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and stars from CBS network programs Kelly Cuoco, Neil Patrick Harris and Pauley Perrette. LL Cool J is once again the host.
It was also announced on Monday that the B-52’s, Estelle, Arturo Sandoval and DJ Michelle Pesce will be performing at the 2013 Grammy Celebration, the official awards after-party.
