Melbourne jazz musician Stu Hunter has been nominated in five categories of the 2017 Jazz Bell Awards.
Hunter released his third album ‘The Migration’ in 2016. The album was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the 2016 ARIA Awards and is looking to take over this year’s Jazz Bell Awards.
The Australian Jazz Bell Awards were launched in 2003 by Albert Dadon. Albare named the awards after Australian jazz legend Graeme Bell, who attended the awards every year in person or via video up until his death at age 97 in 2012. Bell was still performing live up until 90 years of age.
