Acclaimed Perth new wave rockers Sugar Army announce album number two with a wunderkammer teaser clip.
Sugar Army have long been loved in the west, and proved themselves to the nation with 2009’s debut The Parallels Amongst Ourselves.
The band has trimmed down to a trio and are back with their second album, Summertime Heavy, which was recorded in six weeks at Sydney’s Big Jesus Burger studios with production oversight from Eric J (Weezer, JSBX) and Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, Sleepy Jackson).
Summertime Heavy will be released later in the year on Shock’s Permanent Records imprint.
They’re teasing the sharp first single ‘Hooks For Hands’ with a dark clip full of knick-knacks getting overtaken by bloody red vines. You can download the single for free at www.sugararmy.com.au and sample the clip below.
