Melbourne singer songwriter chose Sheffield, UK to record her homage to Elvis Presley ‘The Elvis Hour’ because that’s where producer Colin Elliott is based.
Elliott has worked with Richard Hawley and Jarvis Cocker. He has overlaid that lush Hawley production technique to her ‘The Elvis Hour’. Susie was a big fan of Richard’s ‘Coles Corner’ album.
The song also features Richard’s band, Shez Sheridan on guitar, Dean Beresford on drums and Colin Elliot on the bass.
Susie is now working under her own name. She was the artist formerly known as The Grand Magoozi.
Susie is touring the East Coast with Melbourne musicians Craig Woodward, Holly Thomas and Lochie Bradfield.
