Registration for SXSW Music, Film and Interactive conference for 2016 in Austin, Texas is now open.

SXSW will celebrate its 30th anniversary in March 2016 when around 75000 industry professionals across music, movies, comedy and technology descend into Austin, Texas for the world’s largest industry conference.

SXSW has changed substantially since it was first held in 1987. “While the 1987 inaugural edition was devoted to promoting music artists and businesses, in 1994 we expanded to include both Film and Interactive,” founder Roland Swenson said in a statement. “Today, SXSW incorporates multiple disciplines, but the goal of bringing together creative people to meet and share ideas remains the same”.

The first step in attending SXSW is to register as early as possible as decent hotels close to the action are generally snapped up within days of registration opening.

SXSW dates:

SXSW Interactive – March 11-19, 2016
SXSW Film – March 11-19, 2016
SXSW Music – March 15-20, 2016
