SXSW will present Grulkefest, an event to honor SXSW director Brent Grulke who passed away in Austin two weeks ago.

Grulkefest will be a celebration of Brent’s life. It will feature Doctor’s Mob, Fastball, Glass Eye, the Reivers, Sixteen Deluxe, True Believers, the Wannabes and Wild Seeds with more acts to be announced soon.
The Grulkefest event will take place on September 8 at the Moody Theater in Austin.

All proceeds will go to the Graham Grulke Education Fund to provide Bent’s son Graham with an education.
Brent Grulke was the creative director for SXSW. He had been with the company since its inception in 1989. He passed away on August 13 after suffering cardiac arrest.
