Sydney punk band The Ruminaters have recorded their debut album at London’s legendary RAK Studios.

RAK Studios, near London’s Regents Park, was founded in 1976 by Mickie Most. Most recorded dozens of hits for Suzi Quatro, Racey and Hot Chocolate. RAK Records had hits for Quatro with ‘Can The Can’ and ‘Devil Gate Drive’, Racey’s ‘Some Girls’, and Hot Chocolate’s ‘You Sexy Thing’.

In recognition of the heritage of their recording space, The Ruminaters also recorded a cover of ‘You Sexy Thing’. Their version has been made available on the b-side to their new song ‘I Wanna Fight’.

The Ruminaters will launch their new music at a show at Sydney’s The Lansdowne Hotel on 12 October 2017.
