Australia’s Tame Impala have the 5th biggest selling album on vinyl in the USA so far this year.
According to data from Nielsen SoundScan, Tame Impala’s second album ‘Lonerism’ on vinyl has sold 14,000 units to make it equal 5th place with Mumford & Sons ‘Sign No More’ and Thom Yorke’s Atoms For Peace project ‘Amok’.
Daft Punk ‘Random Access Memories’ is the biggest selling album on vinyl so far this year with 32,000 sales.
Vinyl sales have been the success of the music industry registering a 33% increase over the same six-month period last year. Total album sales are down 4.6% for the first half of 2013.
