The video for ‘Mind Mischief’, the third official single off 2012’s critically acclaimed ‘Lonerism’, is proudly brought to you by Modular.
Directed by Colonel Blimp’s David Wilson (Passion Pit, Metronomy) featuring both live action and Tame Impala’s signature trippy psychedelic animated visuals, the video shows a schoolboy’s fantasy sex romp with one particularly come-hither teacher.
The video was co-produced by Urban Outfitters as the twelfth installment of their UO Music Video Series.
The ‘Mind Mischief’ single package, with remixes by Ducktails and The Field, will be available in digital and vinyl formats 4th March in the UK and Europe Previous single ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’ also gets another push in the UK, released 25th March on Modular.
The video follows on from the announcement of Tame Impala’s Hammersmith Apollo show, their biggest headline show to date will be happening on the 25th June.
The band are set to start a full US tour mid Feb, taking in a slot at Coachella, then head back to Europe for festivals including Primavera in February. More details are to follow on the shows.
In other news the official video for ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’ has now clocked up over 1 million hits on You Tube. Created by animators Joe Pelling and Becky Sloan, it’s a hypercolour wave, a visual imprint of their sonic landscape, and totally Tame Impala. Scroll down to watch:
