Tame Impala Scoops The WA Music Awards

Perth’s Tame Impala were the major winners of the WA Music Awards scooping up four gongs for Group of the Year, Single of the Year, Albert/EP of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

Western Australia has a global reputation as one of the musical hot spots on the planet with a high success rate of major acts like Birds of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe, Karnivool, John Butler Trio and Mama Kin some of the major acts who still call Western Australia home.

Tame Impala Group of the Year over Karnivool, Pond, San Cisco, The Growl and Emperors and Album of the Year over Birds of Tokyo, Karnivool, Pond, San Cisco and The Love Junkies.
