Taste will be back together for a rare Melbourne show this week after recently completing their new album ‘Life On Earth’.
Taste will reform for the one-off show at Ding Dong in Melbourne this Friday night and use the stage to launch their new song and video for ‘I Am God’.
The ‘I Am God’ was video was directed by Clayton Jacobson, the director and writer of ‘Kenny’, starring his brother Shane Jacobson. As an Clayton has been seen in ‘Animal Kingdom’, ‘Charlie & Boots’, ‘Ned Kelly’ and ‘He Died With A Felafel In His Hand’.
The show on Friday is a big one for Taste with original drummer Virgil Donati flying in from his hometown Los Angeles to perform with the band.
“Taste was the band that set me on the rock’n’roll road as a teenager back in 1975… Ken Murdoch, Joey Amenta and Michael Tortoni are my musical brothers and I can’t wait to get back on stage to play some of the songs that started this incredible journey,” Donati said.
Taste fan and former Uncanny X Men singer Brian Mannix once said, “If Queen and Metallica had a bastard baby it would be called Taste.”
