Taylor Swift Meets Godson

Taylor Swift is entirely smitten with her new godson.

The 25-year-old singer was named godmother of best friend Jaime King’s new son Leo Thames, who was born on July 16.

Taylor shared an intimate snapshot of the moment she met the tot for the first time on her Instagram page on Tuesday.

‘Meeting my boy,’ she wrote alongside the picture.

Taylor shared another snap which showed little Leo grabbing her finger, which had glitter polish on the nails.

She accompanied the image with a line from her touching song Never Grow Up, which read: ‘Your little hand’s wrapped around my finger and it’s so quiet in the world tonight.’

Leo is Hart of Dixie star Jaime’s second child with husband Kyle Newman.

Jaime, 36, previously spoke about her and Kyle’s struggle to choose a moniker for their new addition, but the family has finally settled the matter of what to call their little boy.

‘Kyle and I named our second son Leo Thames Newman,’ she noted in a statement. ‘Our family couldn’t be happier welcoming another little angel into this world. Thank you for all of the support and well wishes.’

Apparently the name is very significant for the couple, who married in 2007.

The pair tied the knot at Greystone Park and Manor in Beverly Hills, a historic site which is replicated after English scenery.

‘Jaime and Kyle were married by the River Thames and Leo means strong and powerful,’ a source explained of how the wedding influenced their son’s name.

The couple, who are already parents to 21-month-old son James, debuted their second tot via Instagram on Monday July 20.
