Curtis Salgado was one of the big winner at Saturday night’s Blues Music Awards, taking home the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award, Soul Blues Album for Soul Shot and Souls Blue Album.
Also winning three was Derek Trucks, two for his work with the Tedeschi Trucks as Band of the Year and Rock Blues Album for Everybody’s Talkin’. His third was for Guitarist of the Year.
Winning two were Michael Burks and Janiva Magness.
Other veteran artists taking home awards were Magic Slim, Irma Thomas, Bob Margolis, Eric Bibb, Muddy Waters, the Rolling Stones and instrumentalists Rick Estrin and Eddie Shaw.
