Former Metallica bass player Jason Newsted is heading to a St Kilda pub. Newsted will perform with his band Newsted at The Espy St Kilda with Testament also on the bill.
Jason Newsted was the long-time bass player for Metallica from 1986 – 2001. He played on the albums from “and Justice For All’ (1988) through to ‘S&M’ (1999). After leaving Metallica he formed Voivod and released three albums. His new band Newsted released two albums in 2013, ‘Metal’ and ‘Heavy Metal Music’.
