Tex Perkins and Matt Walker have announced a series of dates together which could see Perkins dusting off a few classic Cruel Sea songs for the tour.
Matt Walker surfaced in 1992 with his debut album ‘Welcome Me Home’. In 2000 ‘his album ‘Soul Witness’ with Ashley Davies earned him an ARIA Award for Best Blues & Roots Album.
Perkins popped up a decade earlier as Tex Deadly and the Dum-Dums and then went onto Salamander Jim with Kim Salmon and Richard Ploog. The Beasts of Bourbon formed in 1983.
The Cruel Sea formed in 1988 and won five ARIA Awards for their now classic ‘The Honeymoon Is Over’ in 1993.
