The Avalanches Slip Out A New Trailer For Something Or Other

The Avalanches may or may not have a new album coming and they may or may not have a documentary coming. The future is unclear and even murkier based on a new Avalanches trailer that has just gone on line.

The Avalanches are teasing something in the video. We are just unsure what. “Its been 15 years since the first, the last and the only Avalanches album so I’ll believe it when I see it,” says Jennifer Herrema in the trailer.

“A second album, decades in the making …” is written next. But does it mean an album is on the way?

The rest of the trailer suggests it may be a documentary with the words ‘SINCE THEY LEFT US WHAT EVRY HAPPENED TO THE AVALANCHES” posted to the screen followed by “Coming Soon” followed by “Hopefully”.

Watch:

Melbourne’s The Avalanches released their one and only album ‘Since I Left You’ in 2000 after two years in the making.

The second album started to be talked about around 2005.

Jennifer Herrema confirmed in 2012 she was working with The Avalanches on an album. Ariel Pink was also in the studio with them. In 2013 The Avalanches remix of Hunters & Collectors ‘Talking To A Stranger’ was released.

The next album for The Avalanches is dangerously close to becoming their ‘Chinese Democracy’. To be continued…
