The Avalanches ‘Wildflower’ Debuts At 10 in UK, 36 in the USA

The Avalanches ‘Wildflower’ has had first week showing at no 10 in the UK and will enter the US chart in the lower end of the Top 40 albums this week.

‘Wildflower’ is the first album in 16 years for the Melbourne electronic group.

‘Wildflower’ had a no 1 debut in Australia after the first album ‘Since I Left You’ peaked at no 21 in 2000.

‘Wildflower’ is still below its predecessor’s peak in the UK. ‘Since I Left You’ reached no 8 in the UK 16 years ago but the first album failed to impact in the USA.

‘Wildflower’ is not the first new music for The Avalanches in 16 years. Three years ago The Avalanches released a reworked version of Hunters & Collectors ‘Talking To A Stranger’ under the revised title ‘Stalking To A Stranger’.
