Surely a beard-themed rock act would be a short-lived gag, if not a rather good one. But Adelaide quartet The Beards have gone further than anyone (particularly themselves) thought possible.
Following their cult hit ‘If Your Dad Doesn’t Have A Beard You’ve Got Two Mums’ and joyous live sets around the nation, the hirsute cult heroes return with their third album – “even more about beards” – titled Having A Beard Is The New Not Having A Beard.
The new album promises more diversity, bigger arrangements, more rock action and, yes, more facial hair.
They just launched the second raunchy, meaty single ‘I’m In The Mood… For Beards’ and have booked an all-corners national tour that stretches from Margaret River to the Apollo Bay Music Festival.
