The Beatles and Rolling Stones Win 2025 Grammy Awards

The 2025 Grammy Awards are underway in Los Angeles. The Beatles and The Rolling Stones have so far both won awards.

The Beatles won Best Rock Performance for ‘Now and Then’ beating The Black Keys, Green Day, Idles, Pearl Jam and St Vincent.

This is the eighth Grammy for The Beatles. They previously won Best New Artist in 1965, Best Performance By A Vocal Group for ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ in 1965, Album of the Year for ‘Revolver’ in 1967, Best Contemporary Album for ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ in 1967, Best Music Video, Long Form for ‘The Beatles Anthology’ in 1997, Best Music Video, Short Form for ‘Free As A Bird’ in 1997 and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1997 for ‘Free As A Bird’.

The Beatles were also granted a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.

The Rolling Stones have won Best Rock Album for ‘Hackney Diamonds’ beating The Black Crowes, Fontaines DC, Green Day, Idles, Pearl Jam and Jack White.

This is only the fourth Grammy Award for The Rolling Stones. In 1995 they won two awards, Best Rock Album for ‘Voodoo Lounge’ and Best Music Video for ‘Love Is Strong’. In 2018 they won Best Traditional Blues Album for ‘Blue & Lonesome’.

The Stones were also awards the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987.
