The Beatles Expanded 50th Anniversary Abbey Road set for September

The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ will be the next edition in their expanded reissues. George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass’ was a contender from the Abbey Road sessions that went unused. George used it as the title track for his 1970 triple album. The Beatles demo was later released on Anthology 3.

Paul McCartney also recorded ‘Come and Get It’ during the Abbey Road sessions. The song was given to (and became a hit for) Badfinger.

‘Mean Mr Mustard’ and ‘Polythene Pam’ were songs originally demoed for ‘The Beatles’ and released on the expanded ‘The Beatles’ in 2018.

‘Octopus’s Garden’, ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’ and ‘Something’ were on Anthology 3.

‘Abbey Road’ will be the third expanded box for The Beatles after ‘Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and ‘The Beatles’ (White Album).
