The Cure Record First Album in 10 Years

The Cure have been in the studio working on their first album in over a decade.

The last album for The Cure was “4:13 Dream” in 2008.

Robert Smith revealed details of the new album in an interview on South Africa’s The John Maytham Show. The Cure are touring in South Africa for the first time.

Smith told Maytham that the band “just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years,” and added, “I’m still doing this for the right reasons because it’s us doing it, it sounds us.”

There is no timeline on the when the new album will be released.

The Cure’s most recent show was for Rock The Lawn in Johannesburg, South Africa last Saturday 16 March 2019.
