Mornington Peninsula band The Fauves will reunite to mark their 25th anniversary with a gig in Melbourne on August 31.
The Fauves formed in 1988 when four friends from Mt Eliza High School decided to form a band. It took 5 years before their debut album ‘Drive Through Charisma’ was released. The Fauves have now released 11 studio albums.
The Fauves features original members Andrew Cox (guitar, vocals), Philip Leonard (guitar, vocals) and Adam Newey (drums) with Timothy Clever who replaced original bass player Andrew Dyer in 2000.
Fauves covers band Doctor’s Orders will open for The Fauves at the 25th anniversary gig. The band will conclude their setlist with a countdown of their 10 most popular songs, as voted by the fans.
The Fauves 25th anniversary gig is Saturday, August 31 at the Corner Hotel, Richmond.
