John Patterson of The Grates has ‘chucked a Grohl’ breaking bones but The Grates tour will go on.
John Patterson has been replaced with Jack Richardson while he mends his wounds. Dave Grohl returned to the stage on July 4 after breaking his leg in Sweden in June.
In a Facebook statement The Grates posted, “Palz! Tour is still going ahead even though John has seriously messed up his wrist! We had to put this pic in b&w to make it less gnarly. Moving beyond the blood clots, allergic reactions, stitches, pins, plate and painkillers, John will be returning to his first childhood instrument on stage, keys, and rad guitarist Jack Richardson (Superfeather) will be joining us on the road to fill in on guitar! That makes The Grates a 5 piece band! OMG! Tour just got incredible, buy your tickets now.”
The Grates next scheduled show is July 25 for Splendour In The Grass. Other upcoming dates for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are scheduled for August.
