The Eagles official documentary ‘History Of The Eagles – The Story Of An American Band’ will premiere on Showtime on US television in February.
The Eagles partnered with Academy Award winning filmmaker Alex Gibney to produce ‘The History of the Eagles’. The documentary made its debut last week at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
“This isn’t something we can do forever,” young Don Henley says in the film. “This is not a lifetime career that we can do, you know?”
Of course, that was the early 70s and at that point Don Henley and Glenn Frey had no concept of the importance their ground-breaking music at the time would go on to make.
At the Sundance press conference to launch the film, Glenn Frey said, “when we finally started to unearth all this archival footage and Super 8 with sound, and rides in limousines and all this stuff, what I was really surprised about, and what I was reminded of, was how much fun we had”.
Showtime will broadcast the documentary over two nights on Showtime on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16 at 8pm ET/PT
