Apparently we’re going to see Hologram Elvis in the near future, as well as a celebrity duets album.
Rolling Stone report that, following the overwhelming success of the Tupac hologram, the creators have hammered out a deal to bring the world Hologram Elvis.
Digital Domain Media Group are the organization that whipped up the Hologram Tupac for Coachella (which isn’t technically a hologram, but a ‘Pepper’s Ghost’-style visual illusion) and they have now teamed up with Core Media Group, which owns the rights to the likeness of the King.
Digital Domain Media Group will create a virtual Elvis which will be ready for films, television, and concerts. Surely he’ll be selling us Blue Loo, Accor Hotels and dog food soon enough.
Elvis has appeared in a stageshow of his hits, but that was merely as a video backdrop. This time, we’ll get to see those hips swivel in 3D. Now which era Elvis will they pick?
Core Media Group has hinted that Elvis may appear in a drama series, and they’re planning to construct some sort of celebrity duets album.
Relive the Coachella Hologram Tupac action below. We’ll remind you that it contains naughty words.
