Heather Shannon of The Jezabels will pay one of Australia’s most iconic musical instruments, the Grand Organ, at the Sydney Opera House.
It is an extremely rare event for a contemporary musician to be allowed behind the hallowed keyboard.
Heather will open The Jezabels show in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall playing a pience of the Opera House Grand Organ. “I am extremely excited to be playing the organ at the Opera House,” she said in a statement. “It’s a rare opportunity and one that I feel very privileged to have. I have written a piece for the show called ‘Organ Fantasie’ as it came together through a bunch of improvisations and is partly inspired by Bach. It will be a very special moment for me, and I can’t wait to share my music! ”.
The Jezabels will perform at the Sydney Opera House on April 28 and 29.
