Sydney four-piece The Jezabels are ready to unveil the first new music from their upcoming second album.
The Jezabels’ debut album ‘Prisoner’ peaked at no. 2 on the ARIA chart in September, 2011.
The Jezabels recorded the album in London with producer Dan Grech-Marguerat (Moby, Scissor Sisters). The first taste of the album is the song ‘The End’ to be released in October.
‘Prisoner’ was a Gold selling record for The Jezabels and peaked at no. 2 edged out by Adele ’21’. It earned the band ARIA, AIR and AMP awards.
The Jezabels toured Australia on the album and played to 5500 at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion. They also showcased a festivals around the world including Pukkelpop (Belgium), Lollapalooza (USA, Chicago), Governors Ball (USA, New York), Osheaga (Canada, Montreal), Bumbershoot (USA, Seattle), Frequency (Austria, St Poelten), T In The Park (Scotland), Hop Farm (UK), Fun Fun Fun Fest (USA, Austin), Rifflandia (Canada, Victoria).
The Jezabels played over 200 shows in 2012 in NY, Toronto, LA, Chicago, San Fran, Vancouver, London, Berlin and Glasgow.
The yet-to-be named second album will be released in early 2014.
