The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers says the band is considering a collaboration with Muse.
Brandon has revealed the US band have become close friends with the British rockers. The two acts recently spent time together at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) after-party in Frankfurt, Germany, and it appears they discussed going into a recording studio.
Brandon believes working on a track with Muse would have ‘spectacular’ results.
‘We’ve become good friends with Muse. We get along so well, so I’d never rule out working together. We would be trying to outdo each other. It would be spectacular, the choruses would be huge,’ he told British newspaper The Sun.
Both groups have been busy of late. The Killers are currently promoting their new album Battle Born and will go on tour to showcase their latest material, while Muse are also enjoying success with their latest record The 2nd Law.
The bands both took to the stage at the EMAs on Sunday night, with The Killers performing hit track Runaways and Muse playing Madness.
Muse frontman Matt Bellamy recalled the last time he had been to Frankfurt, explaining he had taken a tour around the red-light district.
‘I walked around and looked at all the prostitutes,’ he told the newspaper. ‘I was just checking it out because you don’t see that kind of thing in England, so I was very interested.’
