‘The Legends Of Laurel Canyon’, a documentary about the rock’s hidden valley in Los Angeles will premiere on US television this Saturday night.
Laurel Canyon, over the Hollywood Hills between Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood and Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, was the centre point for birth of the California sound of the late 60s.
Residents included Frank Zappa, Neil Young, Crosby Stills & Nash, Carole King, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Wilson, the Mamas and the Papas. Even Frank Sinatra lived in the area.
Tina Malave of Eye on L.A. spent a year in Laurel Canyon finding out the story of the famed region in the 60s and 70s.
‘The Legends of Laurel Canyon’ will air Saturday, October 13 between 8:30 and 9:30pm o ABC7 Los Angeles.
