The Living End will headline Summernats 27 in Canberra in January.
Summernats is an event for car enthusiasts. Summernats 26 attracted over 100,000 people over four days this year.
Summernats has featured The Hilltop Hoods, Rose Tattoo, The Screaming Jets, Drapht and Children Collide in recent years.
“Rock’n’roll and tough cars have a lot in common, they both turn the adrenalin up to 11! We’re looking forward to bringing them together this summer in Canberra for the Summernats,” said Chris Cheney, lead singer and guitarist of The Living End.
The Saturday night event will feature a yet-to-be announced electronic DJ act. “We’ve secured one of Australia’s best electronic DJ acts for Saturday night, and we’ll be releasing those details in September,” said Summernauts owner Andy Lopez. “And the best thing is we’re presenting these acts at no extra cost to our punters. Online ticket prices for Nats 27 are still the same price as they were two years ago at Nats 25. Not many festivals of any type can say that.”
Summernats 27 will be held at Exhibition Park in Canberra from the 2nd – 5th January, 2014.
