The Lumineers were given a big shot of “mainstream” this week when their song ‘Ho Hey’ was featured in the TV series ‘Nashville’.
The Denver folk-rock band formed in 2005 and released their debut self-titled album in April, 2012.
Their first single ‘Ho Hey’ went to no 3 on the US and Australian charts.
“Nashville’ is the TV drama seen on ABC in the United States. It stars Connie Britton as country superstar Rayna James and Hayden Panettiere as upcoming star Juliette Barnes mirroring the changing of the guard of Shania Twain to Taylor Swift.
In the episode of Nashville aired this week in America, Rayna’s daughter’s Maddie and Daphne (played by Lennon and Maisy Stella) perform ‘Ho Hey’.
‘Nashville’ airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC USA.
