The Monkees Good Times Debuts At No 20 In Australia

The Monkees have just scored their highest album chart position in Australia in nearly 50 years.

The new Monkees album ‘Good Times’ has debuted at no 20 on Australia’s ARIA Album Chart. You have to go way back to the 60s to find a Monkees album that high in Australia.

The Monkees launched the ‘Good Times’ album with the River Cuomo of Weezer penned ‘She Makes Me Laugh’.

The latest single is the Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie song ‘Me and Magdalena’

‘Good Times’ also features songs from Neil Diamond (who wrote I’m A Believer) and Harry Nilsson (who wrote Cuddly Toy).

‘Good Times’ is expected to be the highest charting Monkees album in 48 years when the Billboard chart is published next week.

The Monkees are currently on tour in the USA. Word is we may see them in Australia before the end of the year.
