The Monkees will return to the US Top 10 for the first time in 48 years this week.
Final sales figures from HitsDailyDouble.com chart The Monkees’ ‘Good Times’ album at no 8. The calculation is similar to Billboard’s methodology indicating that by the end of this week the Billboard Chart will have the album placed Top 10 somewhere between 6 and 9.
Hits records sales of around 24,000 for ‘Good Times’.
‘Good Times’ featuring all four original Monkees including a posthumous inclusion from Davy Jones.
Songs for the album were contributed by Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher, Rivers Cuomo, Ben Gibbard, Andy Partridge along with previously unrecorded Monkees songs written for the band by Carole King, Boyce & Hart, Neil Diamond and Harry Nilsson.
‘Good Times’ debuted at no 20 in Australia this week.
The Monkees are currently on tour in the USA where they were joined via Skype by Mike Nesmith in New York last Wednesday.
