The Monkees will release their first new album in 20 years with new songs written by members of Death Cab For Cutie, Weezer and XTC.
The Monkees ‘Good Times’ album will be promoted with a 50th Anniversary Tour across the USA.
The ‘Good Times’ album was produced by Adam Schlesinger (Fountains Of Wayne/Ivy), and features all three surviving Monkees and the late Davy Jones with a vintage vocal on one song.
The new album features tracks written specifically for the band from gifted songwriters including Rivers Cuomo (Weezer), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Andy Partridge (XTC), Zach Rogue (Rogue Wave), Neil Diamond, Harry Nilsson, Michael Nesmith and The REAL Peter Tork (Official). ‘Good Times’ the album is out on June 10.
Dolenz & Tork will also launch their 50th Anniversary Tour May 18, with nearly 50 dates. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 12 and all tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will include a digital download of ‘Good Times’.
