The Nectars, who formed 12 months ago after becoming disenchanted by the Sydney music scene, are set to release their first single.
Comprising James Dunlop on vocals and guitar, Mark Harding (bass), Oli Davieson (guitar) and Digby Nield (drums), The Nectars are fast becoming known for their tight, aggressive, catchy tunes and energetic, frenetic live shows.
The Jam influence is quite obvious on their debut single, ‘Do You Want Me To Possess You’, which contains riffs aplenty, complete with a pumping bass and punchy drums.
“’Possess You’ is essentially about control. Control dictates every element of life. Whether you’re exerting it yourself, or being exerted upon by another, control, or lack thereof, affects every aspect of one’s life,” says the band.
