The Paper Kites have released their ‘Young’ music video featuring 350 fans lip-synching the lyrics.
In September, Melbourne’s The Paper Kites put out the call for fans to contribute their images. The fans gathered in Brunswick for the filming of the video made by production company Oh Yeah Wow.
Each person was shot multiple times using a variety of facial poses shaping their mouth to match the various words in the song. Oh Yeah Wow then used stop motion animation to cycle through the images to create the illusion of the fans singing the song.
Darcy Prendergast of Oh Yeah Wow directed the video. The company has made videos for Gotye, Clubfeet and Dirt Farmer.
